Rauðfeldsgjá rift opens like a hallway into the side of the mountain Botnsfjall. It‘s incredible to walk into this striking natural phenomena and follow the narrow path between the high, tuff walls - not knowing what is around the corner!
A small stream, Sleggjubeina, runs through the rift. It requires a bit of climbing to get to the bottom of the ravine, and rainwear and boots are needed. But even if you can‘t go far, it’s simply amazing.
